抄録

This is a report on the class of “Japanese Communication” offered at Kobe University’s Faculty of Global Human Sciences in 2018 and 2019. In that class, Japanese and international students collaborated to learn Japanese. The concept “communication” has various aspects. It includes not only conversation but also reading, writing, and speaking. So I took classes in reading newspaper articles, discussing based on them, and writing opinions. In addition, I adopted a method of active learning and conducted classes to learn Japanese and Japanese expressions through activities such as interviews, speeches, group discussions, research, role play, group work, and pair work. Each time, at the end of the class, the students were obliged to fill out a reflection paper and looked back.
