The purpose of this study is to determine whether the use of extra curricular in kindergartens reduces the sense of burden of child-rearing and improved the mother’s parenting attitudes. To verify the results, data was used from a longitudinal survey of 472 mothers with kindergartners. Analysis of variance was carried out for two factors: the frequency of use of extra curricular and the sense of burden of child-rearing / the mother’s parenting attitudes. The result confirmed that making use of extra curricular did not have the effect of reducing the sense of burden of child-rearing, but it had the effect of improving the mother’s parenting attitudes in the frequently used groups.
