Modern Japanese has been established through three major changes. The first stage of Japanese was developed without letters and is also called "WAGO". The second stage began with the introduction of kanji into Japanese and struggled with the WAGO expression method. The third phase focused on the translation and creation of new words needed to accept modern science and technology civilizations. This paper focuses on WAGO safety-related terms and shows how their meaning has changed.
