Abstract

近年，一部の「参加型アート」には衰退する地域を活性化し，弱者を包摂するための生権力的な装置として行政に用いられる傾向がみられる。本稿はこれをアートによる「生活空間の植民地化」と呼ぶ。このようにして作られたアートは，木村敏（1994）がいうリアリティが人々を結びつけているために，生活空間を「脱植民地化」することは困難である。それに対して，オアハカのストリートアート・ムーブメントにおいて，アートとは現状を打開するための使命感に突き動かされ，限界状況のなかで自己と向き合い，身を削りながら生み出されるものであった。本稿で紹介する「バリケードの聖母」と「サントニーニョ・アポ」のモチーフは，作者が著作権を放棄していたために，複数の人々の手によって次々と異なるバージョンが生み出され，現地に流布する信仰の回路を通じてプレゼンスを拡大していった。こうした，アクチュアリティに裏づけられた創作のコラボレーションがオアハカの町に起きたのは，現地の作家やそれを目撃した人びとがあらかじめ共有していた特別なイメージを喚起する豊かな「土壌」が先行して存在していたからこそ可能となったといえる。

In recent years, some “participatory art” has come to be used by administratorsas a biopower system for revitalizing declining areas and helpingpeople who suffered economically. As described herein, this phenomenon isdesignated as “colonization of living space” by art. Because “reality,” a conceptintroduced by Bin Kimura（ 1994）, creates bonds among people, it is difficultto “decolonize” the living world. However, in Oaxaca’s street art movement, art has been motivated by a sense of mission to overcome the prevailingcircumstances, confronting the artist in limited situations, and being createdwith suffering. Because of abandonment of copyrights, different versionsof the holy statues of the “Virgen de las Barricadas” and “Santo Niño APPO”were produced one after another by multiple authors. They increased its presencethrough the circuit of religious habitus. This creative collaboration inOaxaca city, backed by the actual conditions occurring because of the rich“soil”, evoked a special image that was shared by the local artists and thosewho viewed the art works.
