The museum has held 8 exhibitions such as the permanent exhibition, special exhibitions and outreach exhibitions from April 2019 to March 2020 and the total number of the visitors to University Museum exhibition room was 7,250. This number is less than that from April 2018 to March 2019. Because the exposition room closed in March 2020 due to the infectious COVD2019 diseases control measures. However, almost all exhibitions could be held successfully. Especially, 2019 is the 30th anniversary year of the founding of Kanazawa University Museum in 1989. Therefore, the museum held a special exhibition marking the 30th anniversary entitled “The advance for 30 years of Kanazawa University Museum 1989-2019”. This exhibition showed a trace of the exhibitions during these 30 years. The 3 outreach exhibitions were also held at the Intermediateque Tokyo, with the cooperation of the museum, the University of Tokyo, and the Ishikawa museum of natural history, at Kahoku gate in Kanazawa castle park and at the Memorial museum of Ishikawa Forth Higher school and cultural exchange museum.On the other hand, the University Museum also has large archives of histories for many former schools such as the Fourth Higher School and official documents of Kanazawa University and gave their reference activities. I wish the continuous construction of the archives of the University museum and it will be national Archives of Japan, etc near future.The Museum staff also have attended to the meetings for the Japanese University Council and the Conference of the Society of Japanese museum sciences at Akita University.
