Abstract

In this paper, the role and meaning of teacher and student agency in curriculum design forcross-curricular and inquiry-based learning has been examined through case studies. We havetried to visualize the curriculum matrix in relation to the PBL design in STEAM educationthat is taking place there. It was found that the teacher agency can be more drawn out by thedesign of learning activities in which the both teacher and student agency is identified with theassurance of opportunities for its own participation in the goals that make up the school.
