This paper reports on the practical research program,“ Parent-Child Contact Concert,” conducted as an event in the parent-child program “Wakuwaku Land” sponsored by the Department of Child Education and Welfare, Osaka International College. In this practical research program, within the framework of “concert,” we tried to examine from a musical perspective whether or not the articipants themselves could experience and share the music with the performers, especially its rhythm, not just passively listening to the music during the concert. Furthermore, we explored the significance of participatory concerts and the effect they have on the participants by conducing questionnaires and observing the participants’ behaviors during the concert.
