Abstract

本稿の目的は，通信教育を捉える視座の探求にある。通信教育を考察の対象に据えるのは，現在の再帰的近代化の進展が要請する新たな学びのあり方，すなわち個人が自らに固有で多様な時間・空間を生きながらも，それでいて他者と多層的に関係を取り結ぶことによって知が生成される学びのあり方の原型を通信教育に観て取れるためである。考察は「へだたり」を主題として，通信教育におけるコミュニケーションや，そこにおける言語や文字というメディアをめぐって展開され，文字言語による意味基準と行為とのあいだに「へだたり」の存在が見出される。

Thepurposeofthis paper is to studythepoint ofviewto capturethedistanceeducation. Thispaperhastheaimtorevealthefeaturesoftheconcept of “distance”. Thisisbecause theconcept of “distance” is to symbolizetheuniqueness ofdistanceeducation.Thispaper believes that it is possibleto redefinetheconcept of “distance” bystudying themedia and communication and language of distance education.
