Abstract

This practice report looks back on the experience of conducting online learning support activities when the face-to-face learning support activities of the University’s Affiliated Special Needs Education Practice Center were canceled to prevent new coronavirus infections. By organizing the above, we aimed to help in the future implementation of online lessons. Responses were obtained from 12 participants in online learning support. Regarding “Effects of online learning support”, “Online learning support was useful for learning how to use tablets.” And “Online learning support was useful for effective use of time under restrictions on going out.” Positive answers were obtained from all the respondents in two items. Regarding “the effect of devising online learning support,” “materials were distributed and it was easy to participate.” “In addition to voice, it was able to respond by chat and “goo”, and it was easy to participate. All the respondents gave positive answers in the two items. Regarding “desired use in the future,” there were many opinions requesting both online and face-to-face use. From these results, it was suggested that in online learning support, careful preparation such as pre-distribution of teaching materials and utilization of various communication means such as chat in learning support lead to improvement of learning. It was also suggested that online learning support is not only meaningful as an alternative to face-to-face learning support, but also easy to participate because it is online.
