Abstract

Teachers' training colleges are expected to produce highty qualified graduates in order to provide high quality education. We examined temporal changes in desires among would-be educators in teacher training programs. We interviewed nine college students who were going to graduate in four months. The interview was semi-Structured in terms of time-series events involved in teacher-course curriculums and their impressions of the events. Time series analysis, Called TEM (Trajectory Equifinality Model), was employed to analysis the interview data. The result suggests that students with high desire have motivation for their clinical experience, positive cognition for experiences during the events, and self-efficacy to work as a teacher.
