抄録

奄美群島加計呂麻島におけるコガネムシ上科甲虫は, 現在までに3科7亜科22種の生息が知られていた. 今回同島の野外調査を試みたところ, 初記録となる11種を含む18種の同上科甲虫が得られた. 本調査により, 加計呂麻島から記録されるコガネムシ上科甲虫は4科9亜科33種となった.

Previous studies had recorded 22 species in 3 families and 7 subfamiles of the superfamily Scarabaeoidea from Kakeroma-jima Island, Amami Islands, central Ryukyus, southwestern Japan. A recent faunal survey found 18 scarabaeoid species from the island, among which 11 species are new to the island: Nothochodaeus interruputus horii, Racovicus coreanus, Psammodius kobayashii, Paraphytus dentifrons, Anomala choroderma, Anomala triangularis, Apogonia major bicavata, Polyphylla schoenfeldti, Gastromaladela major, Eumaladera nitididorsis nitididorsis, and Maladera oshimana. Consequently, 33 scarabaeoid species are known to occur on Kakeroma-jima Island.
