Trade with neighboring countries in East Asia is developing along with recent globalization, and there are a growing number of discussions about promoting a Japan-China-Korea Free Trade Agreement (FTA) to further expand trade, However, many are unware that trade expansion among countries in East Asia involves a structure that indirectly leads to cross-border environmental issues. Demand from Japan and Korea places a heavy burden on China's environment by overworking its supply system, which may cause cross border environmental ploblems such as the phenomenon known as yellow sand. With that in mind, this paper examines cross-border problems involving yellow sand with the backdrop of trade expansion in East Asia.
