J-STAGE登載雑誌の論文を引用した論文数および引用した著者の地域分布を，J-STAGE登載の前後で比較した。また，J-STAGE利用団体へのインタビュー，調査対象誌を引用した著者への質問票調査を実施した。これらの結果から，わが国の学術雑誌が電子化されることによって，利用が拡大したか，当該分野への影響力が増したのかどうかを考察した。J-STAGEは流通の促進に貢献しているが，実際に引用に影響を与えるためには，審査レベルの向上や魅力的な記事の掲載等，編集方針の変更によって質を向上させることが必要であることを指摘した。

In order to investigate an effect of electronic publication on circulation and citation of domestic journals, we compared the number and the regional distribution of articles citing the journal articles accessible through J-STAGE, with those when the journals were distributed only with printed version. In addition, interviews with a few societies whose journal(s) are on J-STAGE and a questionnaire survey for citers of these journal articles were carried out. The results show that J-STAGE can promote the circulation, but it is necessary to improve quality of journals and their articles to positively affect their citations.
