This paper proposes a simple mathematical B-H loop model capable of quantitatively representing B-H loops of various sizes, using only 11 parameters. In the proposed model, the differential permeability is represented as a normal distribution function for the magnetic flux density. The coefficients of the function are approximated as quadratic and cubic curves with respect to the applied maximum magnetic flux density. The B-H loops of a sample Ni-Zn ferrite core, in sizes ranging from small to large, are successfully demonstrated by using the proposed model with a circuit simulator.
