Abstract
The structural response of flexible buried pipes has been long investigated. Most of the previous studies mainly focused on the response of flexible pipe under static loading. The long-term behaviour of flexible pipe subjected to cyclic loading has not been fully understood. In this research, experimental study has been conducted to examine effects of backfill soil condition on the behaviour of flexible buried pipe under cyclic loading, using a large soil chamber.
