抄録

A 57 year-old man with a liver tumor was referred to our hospital. Extensive clinical investigations revealed three tumors in the right posterosuperior segment and hepatocellular carcinoma of the combined type was suspected. Right posterosuperior segmentectomy was carried out and the resected specimen revealed a hepatocellular carcinoma and several nodules of cholangiocellular carcinoma separately. Primary duplex liver carcinoma is very rare and the resected case is the first as far as we have been able to refer. This case is interesting on histogenesis of primary carcinomas of the liver.
