抄録

Geological, topographic and climatic conditions are fundamental in causing the glacial phenomena, and their characteristics and their relationships are discussed.<BR>Observations on glaciations were carried out in the Khumbu, Hinku and Hongu regions, east Nepal, from September to October, 1976.<BR>Glaciations in the Nepal Himalayas are discussed, and two stages of the past glacier advance were dated to be 8th and 16th centuries by ¹⁴C analyses.
