抄録

Quantitative determination of lead as the oxalate is carried out by the following method. Sample solution of lead with the concentration above 0.05 M is treated with oxalic acid solution to precipitate lead oxalate and the mother liquor is adjusted to pH 3-7, the precipitate is filtered, dried at 105° and weighed as anhydrous lead oxalate. Although nickel and silver can be completely precipitated as their oxalates but those oxalates did not show the definite weight by drying, also the precipitation of manganese as the oxalate was incomplete : therefore, these metals cannot be determined as oxalates.
