抄録

This report describes estimation of the durability of CR rubber bearing pads, used on a shoe of prestressed concrete railway bridge, from the physical property studied of these pads 17 years in use and the aging property of the original rubber compound.<br>The long used CR rubber bearing pads had a good physical property, but the decrease in their thickness was about 0.6mm per piece.<br>The fatigue life which was estimated from the results of the static accelerating aging tests on the original rubber compound is as follows; about 85 years according to tensile test: 190 to 220 years in terms of compression set; and about 200 years in terms of static shear modulus of elasticity.
