Hydrodynamics of valved conduit made of equine pericardium (Xenomedica®) was studied. Monocusp, bicusp and tricusp valved conduits were evaluated for valvular function by original circulation system. The study was also performed with the conduit being compressed. Flow rate curve and flow-pressure gradient Lissajous were useful for evaluation. Conduit with monocusp valve had diastolic regurgitation. Tricusp-valved conduit had increased valvular registance. On the other hand, bicusp-valved conduit had stable performance under any condition.
