Abstract

Arterial reconstructions using human umbilical cord vein graft were carried out 17 legs with ASO. Patency rates were 25%(2/8) in Mindich, while 71%(5/7) in Dardik, respectively. The causes of the obstruction were as follcxas; graft infection was in 2 (Mindich and Dardik in each one), pseudointimal hyperplasia of the distal anastcniosis was in 3 Mindich, s was in 5(Mindich in 2 and Dardik in 3), progression of atherosclerosis was in one Dardik. It was concluded that Dardik should be used as the first choice as a prosthesis of intra-femoral arterial bypass.
