We report a case of bilateral popliteal arterial aneurysms (PAA) associated with abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA), which was successfully operated on by a three-step approach. <BR>An 83-year-old woman was pointed out to have a pulsating tumor at the right popliteal fossa by other hospital during a minute exploration for anemia. After admission to our hospital, CT and angiography gave a diagnosis of bilateral PAAs with AAA. <BR>Before the operation, DIC was observed through hematological examinations. According to the degree of the risk of rupture, the 3 aneurysms were operated on by three steps, namely, right PAA was first followed by AAA and left PAA, in this order. <BR>In all the three operations, resection of aneurysm with synthetic bypass installment was employed. The postoperative course was uneventful and DIC findings were recovered without any special treatment.
