Electron Cyclotron Emission Measured in Lower Hybrid Current Drive Plasma on WT-3 Tokamak

抄録

Electron cyclotron emission from the lower hybrid current-driven WT-3 was measured along the vertical chord where the toroidal field is constant. Measurements show that the tail electron with the energy of 110 keV carrying the plasma current is generated, and the initial process (\lesssim10 ms) after the injection of the lower hybrid wave follows the quasi-linear theory. On a longer time scale (\simeq40 ms), energetic tail electrons are scattered to the perpendicular direction in velocity space by the collision with the bulk, and the effective temperature of tail electrons increases up to about 60 keV.
