抄録

Duration of the complement-fixation (CF) antibodies induced in pigs and guinea pigs by Haemophilus pleuropneumoniae vaccine was investigated. Geometric means of the CF titers were maintained above 1:16, a minimum titer level for the protection when defined by the surviving rate of these injected animals, during 3 weeks after reaching the level. Booster effect of the vaccine was apparently observed in the presence of varying levels of the antibodies to H.pleuropneumoniae after the primary injection. Two doses applications of the vaccine are essential to keep the CF titer to the protective level during their life cycle.
