The Ni50Zn50 alloy undergoes a transformation from the CsCl (B2)-type cubic phase to the AuCuI(L10)-type tetragonal structure. This transformation was found to be martensitic in the case of quenching and massive in the case of slow cooling. The internal (111)L10 twins were observed in the L10 martensite of this alloy. During slow cooling, the morphology of the L10 phase was suggested to be affected by the migration of interface.
