抄録

During the investigation of petrochemical-utilizing microorganisms, a strain PGB-400-2 was found to produce a exocellular polysaccharide from 1, 2-propanediol.<br> From the results of taxonomical studies, the stain PGB-400-2 was determined to be Corynebacterium species.<br> The purified polysaccharide was homogeneous and its main components were rhamnose, mannose, glucose and galactose.
