Crystal-Optic Observation of High-Pressure Phase Transition in Barium Sodium Niobate

抄録

The first observation of high-pressure phase transition in BNN is reported. Both ferroelastic domain pattern and the birefringence Δn_xy vanishes at 22.0±0.5 kbar and room temperature. The dT_tr⁄dP is positive and approximately equal to 8.6°C/kbar in the temperature range between −25°C and 75°C.
