抄録

Effect of time restriction of demand feeding within daytime was investigated in outdoor tanks kept more than one hundred fish of red sea bream and was compared to unrestricted feeding. Unrestricted feeding resulted in poor feed efficiency (34 or 48%) because of high level of waste food caused by frequent feeding in nighttime. Time restriction to 11 hours of daytime produced a good performance of feeding. Growth did not differ so much from those of the fish fed with no restriction. Feed efficiency of time restricted feeding tanks attained 70%.
