抄録

The roots of Metaplexis japonica MAKINO contain a complex glycoside mixture. The alkaline hydrolysate of the crude ester-aglycone mixture showed the presence of sarcostin (I), deacylmetaplexigenin (IIa), deacylcynanchogenin (IVa), utendin (VI), and three other new aglycones. The structure of one of these new aglycones, named pergularin, was found to be closely related to utendin.
