抄録

The ultrastructural features of so-called mixed tumor of the skin were described.On the morphological differences, epithelial tumor cells were classified into four cell types: 1) basal cell type I, 2) basal cell type II, 3) luminal cell type I, and 4) luminal cell type II.They had many features common to the intradermal portion of the normal eccrine sweatduct, as well as occasionally observed intracellular canaliculli. Such findings support the eccrine sweat gland origin of this tumor. Present electron microscope study, also revealed that these epithelial tumor cells might contribute to the formation of the characteristic myxomatous and chondroid stroma of this tumor.
