落球式粘度計の試作 Manufacture of a Falling-Ball Viscometer
A falling-ball type viscometer applicable for opaque liquids was manufactured. The methode depends on the alteration of the inductance of a coil wound around a glass tube and made as a reference mark as a steel ball passes through it, and a bridge network devised by A.M. Thompson is adopted with some modifications. The apparatus is proved to be of high stability and high sensitivity. A stop-watch is worked satisfactorily by a relay included in the circuit even with a steel ball of 1/16 inch when a coil of diameter of 3.6cm is used.
