抄録

The purpose of this study is how change an average basic pattern of a male upper trunk to the general basic pattern, which is generally easy to use by applying regression equation that has a chest girth as an explanation variable as was reported in part 1 of the thesis. Especially, the purpose of this paper is to examine a shoulder slope.<BR>Fifty-three subjects (25-29 years old male adults) were measured, and appropriate basic patterns were drawn. Then, male basic patterns were obtained by using regression equation for each chest girth. As a result, the shoulder slope of a male basic pattern showed an average shoulder slope.<BR>Thirteen plaster figures were made as general basic patterns. To examine the allowed range of the shoulder slope of a basic pattern, these plaster figures were used to conduct sensory test by putting on basic patterns of the average shoulder slope and shoulder slopes deviating one, two and three degree loosened from the average shoulder slope. In addition, the space generated between the end of shoulder of the basic pattern and that of the body when it is really worn was measured by using a 3-D computer program to examine the relationship between the space and the amount of sensuality.<BR>After conducting the sensory test and measuring the space height on shoulder point, the following fact was found. The coverage can be increased with the same fitting grade by 1.03 to 1.1 degree loosen-ing the shoulder slope of an average basic pattern.<BR>As a result, an average shoulder slope has 50% coverage, and 1.03-1.1 degree loosen shoulder slope has 65.8% coverage in normal distribution.<BR>This study has found that the methodology which raises the coverage for the shoulder slope of a general basic pattern is effective.
