抄録

In order to investigate the chemical structure of toxic protein produced by Bacillus thuringiensis T84 A1, the present investigation was carried out by column chromatography on CM-cellulose, DEAE-cellulose and gel filtration.<br>The results obtained were as follows:<br>1. The toxic protein was excluded by Sephadex G-200, and was not adsorbed to CM-cellulose.<br>2. After a linear gradient elution from DEAE-cellulose column the toxic protein was separated into several peaks, while the similar elution in the presence of 8M urea resulted in an almost single elution peak.<br>This suggests that the toxic protein undergoes reversible dissociation and association.
