抄録

The supramolecular complexes based on the cooperation of individual interactions in each molecule are expected to induce novel functions that differ from those found in simple molecules. In this study, the development of supramolecular analytical reagents based on ion exchange and host-guest interactions has been reviewed by dividing into two design concepts of (1) supramolecular analytical reagents based on self-assembling systems and (2) supramolecular analytical reagents based on cyclodextrin complex systems. The supramolecular response functions of the amphiphilic probes having crown ether and podand recognition sites for alkali-metal ions and lead ion sensing in water, and the cyclodextrin complexes of probes possessing crown ether, podand, and phenyl boronic acid recognition sites for alkali metal ions, lead ion, and sugar sensing in water have been summarized in relation to their supramolecular structures and dynamic molecular recognition functions.
