Abstract
In a steel framework, composing beam-to-column connections with only bolt connections is one of the possible way to avoid brittle fracture in weld connections under strong earthquakes. In this study, cyclic loading tests of subassemblage frames including H-section beam-to-H-section column bolted connection are performed, and the semi-rigidity of the beam-to-column connection, which is caused by out-of-plane deformation of plate element in H-section member, is chiefly investigated. Reinforcing effect of doubler plates at column web attached with high strength bolts is also investigated.
