抄録

In the area of irrigation ponds (the western area of Kako river), the existing status of the water management and the relationship between water management and satisfaction degree is considered on the basis of the result of the questionnaires.<BR>Water management is investigated by questionnaires, that is; the water management organization, the frequency distribution of the ponds on the starting and ending period on water release, the operation of the flume, the ways on the mid-summer drainage, the residual storage volume in the ponds at the end of the irrigation period, and the satisfaction degree to the water volume. The status in the whole object area is described and using the satisfaction degree as the index against the water shortage, the connection between the water management and the satisfaction degree is calculated. About the items which have relationship, the crossing tables analysis is used for their consideration. Furthermore, the villages (water management organization) are classified according to the satisfaction degree, and the less satisfying villages are investigated.
