Abstract
A thiolato-bridged AuI2CuI2 metalloring compound, [Au2Cu2(L)4] (L = (C6H4NMe2)CH=N(C6H4)S−), together with an analogous CuI4 compound, [Cu4(L)4], was newly prepared from 2-(4-dimethylaminophenyl)benzothiazoline. The AuI2CuI2 compound was found to show structural and spectroscopic features comparable well with those of [Ag4(L)4], rather than those of [Au4(L)4] and [Cu4(L)4].
