抄録

This paper describes two types of normalized modulus distribution under compression and bending for a circular rubber with pad top and bottom surfaces that are bonded to rigid layers. The distribution is applied to a series of axial springs to account for the compressive and bending moduli of the rubber pad. The paper demonstrates that the series of axial springs with varied modulus distribution has higher ratio of bending stiffness to compressive stiffness than the rubber pad. To define the correct ratio of bending stiffness to compressive stiffness, a nonlinear elastic model is provided for the axial springs. By using the varied modulus distribution and a nonlinear elastic model, the series of axial springs can produce much improved behavior over the uniform modulus assumption.
