Abstract

日本の初等教育課程における社会科教育では,公民的資質の教育,すなわち,シティズンシップ教育は重要なものとして位置づけられている.そうした公民的資質を涵養するためには,文化的,文明的な生活を営むための最低限の文明的環境を整えることが不可欠である.かくして,公民的資質の涵養のためには,初等教育課程における社会科教育と,文明的環境を整える土木の営為の連携が極めて効果的である.本稿では,この点に着目し,社会科教育において土木を取り扱う学習プログラムを「土木学習」と呼称し,その意義と具体的な可能性を論ずるものである.

In Japanese school education, citizenship education has been regarded as an important educational goal. For educating peoples' citizenship, promoting and sustain the peoples' civilized life environment is essential. Thus, collaboration between social education in elementary school and civil engineering that promote civilized environment is efficient for educating peoples' citizenship.
