Abstract
PDCA cycle in order to improve businesses and services applied to different areas. It does not apply to route bus business. The clear way of PDCA cycle is not erected, then the ridership is decreasing in many areas. The objectives of this study are to define ideal PDCA cycle and verify the utility of cycle applied to the route bus over a few years in Hidaka City, Saitama Prefecture. In addition to PDCA cycle for improving operation, we identified operating continued PDCA cycle for improving the self PDCA cycle as effective. From continual operating practical PDCA cycle, it is not only user's satisfaction level increased, but also ridership increased because the potential demand responded by improving service. So the utility for the PDCA cycle in route bus business checked.
