Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the accessibility and availability of gas stations in an emergency with all-at-once gasoline demand by the residents. To this end, a case study was conducted in Aomori City in terms of gas station capacity and road distances measured by GIS. Two types of action were assumed, one is the exploratory type that the residents sequentially explore the nearest facilities, and the other is the pre-assigned type that they go to the pre-assigned. In addition, two stages of restriction for amount of gasoline supply were assumed. The accessibility and availability of gas stations was obtained under these conditions, and the result showed effectiveness of the pre-assignation and the restriction.
