Abstract

In Paris, the first attempt on car sharing program, called autolib', which is capable of one-way trip by using electric vehicle, was launched in November 2011 under the collaboration of private-public partnership. In order to understand the impact of this system for Parisian, two questionnaire surveys were conducted both in November 2011 and January 2013 as the panel survey. This paper discussed the changes in public attitude and travel behaviors by comparing the results of the two questionnaire surveys. The results suggest that one-way service and on-street parking provide the visibility and convenience of the service, and that the decrease in private car use and the increase in public transit use can be achieved.
