Abstract
Recently, study on the multi-scale interaction among MHD and plasma turbulence is a hot topic in the fusion simulation research. Especially, the neoclassical tearing mode(NTM) is an important physical issue in the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor(ITER). It is linearly stable and nonlinearly excited so that the mechanism of sub-critical excitation should be understood. In this study, the evolution of linearly stable tearing mode under the plasma turbulence is study by nonlinear simulation. It is found that the neoclassical tearing mode will be sub-critically excited if the coupling between the drift wave is weak. The simulation with multi-helicity is in progress to investigate whether the plasma turbulence will generate the island seed or not. The result will be reported in the conference.
