Abstract
The influences of forcibly added randomness on the structure of numerical solutions of the compressible Euler equations are discussed. The compressible Euler equations are solved numerically by using Harten type TVD method for the flow around a two-dimensional airfoil. We investigated the behavior of fluctuating shock wave under insertion of randomness by showing animation and calculated average place of shock wave. This average place of shock wave is different from that calculated without randomness. We also study the dependence of behavior of shock wave on the difference of pseudo-random number.
