Abstract
Unconfined compression tests were performed on cement-stabilized unusual soils cured under several overburden pressures. The test results showed that the unconfined compression strength of the soils linearly increases with the increase in overburden pressure, because of an increase in density of specimen due to initial consolidation. In the case of the loam, the rate of strength increase by overburden pressure is not changed by of the cement content, but by type of the cement stabilizer. The strength increase characteristics of other usual soils are different from that of the loam.
