Abstract
This paper presents a method for comparing the partial shapes of 3D objects based on their features. The method consists of three procedures: (1) extract form features from a solid model by using the pattern matching technique and construct a dependency graph from the set of form features, (2) find the common subgraph in comparison with two dependency graphs, (3) determine the shape similarity of the feature parts in the subgraph. Experimental results are also presented.
