Abstract
A novel nano–mechanism assemble technique using DNA strand and chemically modified gold nano–particles has been improved. Four types of DNA short single strand has been synthesized and hybridized to form two unit–blocks of the nano–mechanism. Each type of blocks has non–palindrome sticky end to connect them in turn and one of the unit–blocks is labeled by gold nano–particle. We calculate to design DNA sequence that is high efficiency in hybridization. After ligating the unit–blocks by ligase, a long strand of DNA chain with periodic nano–particle can be assembled. AFM micrographs show serial nano–particle chains with pitches of almost 27nm. This result indicates the usefulness of the proposed technique for nano–mechanism assembling.
