Abstract
The aim of this research was to fundamentally determine the effects of temperature for lubrication containing hyaluronic acid (HA) on artificial hip joints. Therefore evaluation of lubricant temperature differences between 25-C and 36-C was investigated using testing equipment equipped with a reciprocating stage for an artificial hip joint. The lubricants consisted of HA and isotonic sodium chloride solution (I.S.C.S.). It was confirmed that the average rate of wear for lubricant temperature of 36-C was larger than that of 25-C when the lubricants were 0.3wt%HA or less.
