Consideration of Mental Therapeutic Robots from Psychological and Sociological Perspectives

Abstract

This paper considers the possibility of robotic therapy from psychological and sociological perspectives. In particular, this paper regards therapy methods using pet-type robots and human-like conversational robots as the two poles of robotic therapy, and then discusses about what problems potentially exist in these methods.
