抄録

Design concept of a small reactor for NTD-Si was proposed using short PWR fuel assemblies. PWR type fuel assemblies were used, thus the stable and reliable supply of the fuel can be expected because there are several PWR fuel manufacturers. The reactor can be critical over 1200 days. The excess reactivity was suppressed by burnable poison and control rod. Si ingots, 30 cm in diameter, could be irradiated with sufficient uniformity, and the reactor production rate was estimated.
